Vietjet awarded the 2023 “Best Low-Cost Airline in Southeast Asia and “Best Finance Management – Aviation- Vietnam” by UK-Based International Finance Magazine recently held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Vietjet is a great Southeast Asian aviation business success story. Vietjet Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, founded the low-cost carrier in 2007, which has consistently won awards from the International Aviation Service and Safety Standards Airline Ratings review website, as within ‘The World’s Top 10 Safest Low-Cost Carriers’ among 385 global airlines monitored.
In 2023, the carrier operated 133,000 flights with 25.3 million passengers (excluding Vietjet Thailand) – a surge of 183% YoY, with more than 7.6 million on international flights – becoming the first airline to connect Vietnam with the five largest cities in Australia of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Brisbane; and with cities in India of Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Tiruchirappalli.

Catering to over 178 million passengers to date, Vietjet has accelerated the recovery and development of tourism, investment, and trade in the Asia-Pacific region.
Last year, the carrier continued to grow its network with 33 new international and domestic routes, bringing the total number of routes to 125, including 80 international and 45 domestic routes – and
Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA) has become a training partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 2023.
VJAA trained over 97,000 students through 6,300 courses, actively providing training for pilots and aircraft maintenance staff (CRS) last year.
