Manila, Philippines from the 13th to the 16th of May, Austrade CEO, Xavier Simonet, hosted 21 Australia education and training institutions for the first Australia Southeast Asia Business Exchange mission to the Philippines, with a focus on Transactional Education.
Led by Austrade CEO Xavier Simonet and warmly welcomed by Australian Ambassador to the Phillipines HK Yu PSM FCPA (Aust), the delegation comprising of 21 Australia Institutions heard directly from the Philippine Government about what skills and training they need in relationship to new job creation industries and technology to support their youth under the age of 25 which accounts for over half of their population.
The Australia delegation meetings with influential business leaders, industry groups, educational organisations and government representatives in the Philippines and also visited Filipino education providers for joint venture transactional education opportunities.
